Chinese Dining in Houston

Cafe Chino - When I am working inside the loop and hungry for great chinese food, this is my choice.  Tucked away on a side parking lot in the Rice Village, Cafe Chino's is one of my favorite chinese restaurants.

Their General Tso's is fantastic. I also like their Walnut Chicken. Spring rolls, soups, all have been delicious.

It is moderately priced.

Bing's Asian Bistro - OMG! This place has great food!  Located on FM 1097 on the north side of the main part of Lake Conroe, this is worth the drive if you are in the area.  Coming back from Dallas on I-45??? Turn right (West) on 1097 in Willis and drive 4.4 miles. (On the left in the strip mall right after the first small bridge over the lake.)

Try their Crispy Honey covered Shrimp or their Aspargus Beef dinner.  The Hot and Sour soup for two feeds four! Everything I have had there is delicious.

I live on Lake Conroe and this is the best restaurant to open in this area in a long while.

13731 FM 1097, Willis, Texas 936-890-8868  They don't have a website yet but I will link it when they do.

Since I live on Lake Conroe, I eat dinner in the area, including The Woodlands.  That said, tonight's entry is BINGS Asian Bistro on FM 1097 on the northeast side of the Lake.

Bings is a great place for fine asian food.  This is upper scale Asian with moderate pricing.

I had the Pad Thai.  It was awesome, as always.  My other favorite dish here is the Beef Asparagus.  Perfect every time.  They have great Sushi and a dish called Crispy Honey Buttered Shrimp that will make your eyes roll into the back of your head, guaranteed. Also a must is the "Chips and Salsa" appetizer.  Nothing like it!  It is not what you expect!

I give this a place 4 thumbs up because the food is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice and the management and staff are friendly and professional.  Tell Chris, the manager, "hi" for me.

Shanghai River Chinese Restaurant  - 2407 Westheimer - River Oaks

Szechuan Garden  - When I am in the Clear Lake/League City area, I try to get by Szechuan Garden on 518 (Main Street) in League City.  Between I 45 and Hwy 3, this neighborhood Chinese restaurant is a winner.

Great soups.  I recommend them all.  Their Beef and Broccoli in garlic sauce is one of my favorites along with their General Tso.  Family owned and operated, the locals love this place.
