Hi!  My name is Steven Carr.  I own HoustonRestaurants.com and several other "Houston" Dining related web sites.

This is my personal blog of where I eat and why.   You may ask, "Who are you to evaluate and write about dining at Houston's restaurants"?  Good and fair question.  I am the ultimate average Houstonite.  

I am not classically trained as a chef or in the fine art of cuisine evaluation. I have not ever owned a restaurant, with the exception of a small sandwich shop many, many years ago. However,  I have spent well over $200,000.00 during the last 20 years dining at Houston's best.  Yes, I have my favorites, but I have not been to them all and I love to explore new tastes and concepts in dining.

The postings will not be every day, but they will be frequent.   I do not write to impress critics.  I just want to share what I think is the best I have experienced in Houston dining.
